Ayatullah Sayyid Ahmad al-Madadi al-Musavi (b. 1951) is one of the most prominent scholars of the Hawza of Qum. Born in Najaf, he studied under Ayatullah Khoei for 7 years attending his most advanced lectures. He also spent 2 years with Ayatullah Sistani before he left for Qum, where he taught the most advanced levels of Hawza studies over 3 decades and which he continues till today. His scholastic background and unique method of analysing history and hadith literature have attracted scores of senior scholars and emerging students to his lectures.
