Module 4 on History (Shia History) will be delivered by Sheikh Kumail Rajani. Having extensively studied in the seminary of Qum from propaedeutic sciences (al-muqaddimat) to extra-textual course (dars al-kharij), Kumail Rajani is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Exeter. He has taught topics such as tafsir, ḥadīth, history, theology and fiqh at Al-Mostafa International University, Jamiat al-Zahra and a number of other research institutions of Qum. He teaches Islamic Law and Society in the capacity of a Post-Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Exeter. Though primarily focused on the origins and development of Shi’i ḥadith, his research interests extend to Qur’anic exegesis, fiqh, usul, history, and Shi’i Studies more broadly.

Each course module is made up of three lectures which will take place between 8pm-9pm GMT from Friday to Sunday, on successive weekends.

Registrations for each module closes at 4pm GMT SHARP on Day 1 of that module.
