Thank you for supporting us during Shahr Ramadan.
WF-AID is proud to share it's 2018 Ramadan Relief Report, which details how your generous donations were distributed to those less fortunate across the world.
The success of our reach has only been possible through a combined effort from the support of our donors, hard-working teams on the ground and tireless volunteers who have worked through Shahr Ramadan to help fundraise or deliver aid to those in need.
Our Ramadan Relief report touches on some of the great work you helped us do and I hope you enjoy the read. My highlights are below - it's amazing to see the positive impact you've helped to make within our own communities and to thousands of families living in developing countries.
Please keep supporting the vital work we do, along with our other humanitarian projects.

PROVIDING 5 MILLION MEALS
WF-AID distributed 19,705 Food Packs, which were filled with nutritious items to widows, orphans and the elderly living in developing countries.
These Food Packs supported a family of 5 people for a whole month with many being used to cook meals for iftar and suhoor.
REACHING OVER 125,00 PEOPLE
WF-AID's teams and partners distributed nutritious Food Packs, delivered community iftars and funded farming kits to over 125,000 people across the world.
WORKING ACROSS 16 COUNTRIES
Thanks to your generous support this Shahr Ramadan, WF-AID delivered vital aid across 16 countries affected by natural disasters, poverty or conflict.
We were also able to reach remote communities in countries like Kenya, recently affected by flash flooding.
HELPING OUR COMMUNITIES
We worked closely with Africa Federation, India Federation and Pakistan Federation to distribute Food Packs to over 3,000 families within our own Khoja community, which supported them through the Holy month of Ramadan. It's fantastic to see how your donations have made a positive impression and impact on the communities we live in.
Over the course of Shahr Ramadan, we have seen various Jamaats from Birmingham to Peterborough and Stanmore host their own fundraising activities within their communities to raise money for our Ramadan Relief appeal.
Stanmore Jafferys held a Festival of Rackets tournament, which helped raise much-needed funds for our Ramadan Relief appeal. Peterborough Jamaat held an Eid dinner with refugee families and Birmingham hosted several events, including a distribution of Food Packs to those within the area affected by flooding.
Find out more about the amazing ways Jamaats and volunteers helped raise money for the appeal.
Helping mothers like Fatima
|During our distribution, we met Fatima. She has 5 young children and lives with her sickly mother in Tanzania.
Fatima told us: "The people making this possible will never realise what a blessing this is to us. At last, I will be able to save some money for medical supplies to help my mother and to pay school fees, so my children can finally enjoy an education."
You can read Fatima's full story in the report.
