The A’maal of Umm al-Dawood will take place tomorrow, Thursday 13th April following Zohrain Salaat at 1.15pm in the Imambargah for both ladies and gents.
The Jamaat’s next scheduled program will take place tomorrow, Thursday 13th April being the Jumeraat Program commencing at 7.30pm with Surah Yaseen followed by Du'a Kumayl, Maghribayn Salaat at 8.13pm, Gujarati Majlis by Brother Sibtain Panjwani & ending with Ziyarat Waritha.
The topic for tomorrow will be: Knowledge as guidance and mercy.
And the OUTCOMES are:
- A. Quran links knowledge to guidance
- B. Obtaining reliable knowledge is fundamental for the growth of oneself and the community.

The Jamaat has received an invitation to attend the Nikah Ceremony of Masuma Aliyah d/o Late Akberali & Zeenat Fazel Rawji Somji to Aliabbas s/o Sajjad Ali & Ruksana Rahim & Mohamed Ali & Sukaina Rahim, which will take place here at Mehfil-e-Abbas, on Sunday 16th April, commencing at 4pm and ending with Walima Nyaz.
Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Jamaat will be held on Saturday 29th April 2017 commencing at 7pm here at Mehfil-e-Abbas. Please note that the date is subject to moonsighting and in the case that our 3rd Imam’s Wiladat falls on Saturday, the Meeting will instead be held a day earlier on Friday 28th April commencing at 8pm.
Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign
The Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign session this year will be taking place on Saturday 22nd April. Those who wish to donate blood this year can book an appointment by calling 0300 123 23 23 or by visiting ius.org.uk/giveblood. Anyone who is able to donate is highly encouraged to take part in this important initiative in the name of Imam our 3rd Imam (as).

BAYN Wellbeing Survey
The BAYN Wellbeing Team have released a survey as part of a new initiative to build awareness and capacity for managing mental health issues within the community and to tackle the stigma associated with these issues. Taking part is voluntary, and all answers are anonymous, therefore participants will not be identifiable. You can find a copy of this survey on the Jamaat Website and Facebook page as well as the BAYN facebook page. The World Federation launched a Syria Appeal entitled #unspeakable. They have embarked on a mission to provide mental-health services in collaboration with an agency in Lebanon. A primary objective is to facilitate a shift in self-image from passive victim to active survivor. Under this program, torture and war atrocity survivors recover from psychological and physical symptoms, helping them to successfully regain control of their lives. We are appealing to you to support this worthy cause and help these people overcome the difficulties they have endured. Please give what you can today – your donations will go towards training for nurses, medical supplies and the general running of the clinic. Lonely Prisoner of Baghdad, Imam Musa al-Kadhim (as)
A programme in memory of the Lonely Prisoner of Baghdad, Imam Musa al-Kadhim (as) has been organised in Leicester’s Masjid Al-Husayn on Sunday 23rd April on the Imam’s Wafat Day. The program will commence at 4.45pm with a children’s recitation workshop with the Hashimi sisters and Zainab Tejani. The main programme will start at 5.30pm featuring the Tejani Brothers, the Hashimi Sisters, Zainab Tejani, Nouri Sardar, Syed Ali Abbas Razawi and Mohamedabbas Karim. The program will end with Nyaz. All are requested to attend.
