The Jamaat’s next scheduled program will take place on Thursday 11th May being the Jumeraat Program together with the 15th Night of Sha’baan. The program will commence at 8.15pm with Surah Yaseen followed by Majlis by Sheikh Nuru Mohammed, Maghribayn Salaat at 9.01pm and the A’maal of the 15th night of Sha’baan

Du'a Recitation in Shahr al-Ramadhan

We have now started the process of collecting names for those who would like to recite Dua’s during the Holy Month of Ramadhan. This will be done via a google form. The link has been circulated to all members on Whatsapp and is also available on the Jamaat website. This online form is only applicable to those aged 16 years and above. Madrasah children will be given slots through Muhammadi Madrasah. Any children who are not in Madrasah and anyone who doesn’t have internet access and would to recite should give their names to either Br. Alimehdi Moti or Br. Yasir Pirmohamed.

Mindfulness and Stress Management Event for Youth

The Book Cave and Mental Health team are excited to present the first ever Mindfulness and Stress Management Event for Youth between the ages of 13-22. The event will be fun, practical and insightful, giving participants easy to implement techniques that can fit into busy revision schedules and exam preparation. BAYN Open Forum

BAYN in conjunction with Ahlulbayt TV are holding an upcoming open forum with Sheikh Nuru Mohammed on Saturday 6th May from 7pm, discussing selected pertinent contemporary religious and societal issues related to youth. You will have a chance to ask Sheikh further questions on these topics. All youths are encouraged to attend in large numbers.

The Council of European Jamaats is delighted to announce that they will soon be launching Camp CoEJ 2017. Camp CoEJ is a unique 10-day camp for both boys and girls aged 11 to 14. It will take place from the 7th to 17th August and builds on the values, mantras and principles refined from camps of the past to deliver what will be a fun, fulfilling and an exciting Camp for everyone involved. Syria Appeal

The World Federation launched a Syria Appeal entitled #unspeakable. They have embarked on a mission to provide mental-health services in collaboration with an agency in Lebanon. A primary objective is to facilitate a shift in self-image from passive victim to active survivor. Under this program, torture and war atrocity survivors recover from psychological and physical symptoms, helping them to successfully regain control of their lives. We are appealing to you to support this worthy cause and help these people overcome the difficulties they have endured. Please give what you can today – your donations will go towards training for nurses, medical supplies and the general running of the clinic. Donations can be made at the Treasurer’s Desk or online on the World Federation Website.

Coach trip has been arranged by Seniors for travelling to Stanmore on Wednesday 3rd May at 8am to attend ZAINABIYA DAY which is organised by the Seniors of Hujjat Islamic Centre. If any one is interested in joining this trip should give please give your names to Mumtaz Moti or Hasanali Kurji as there are few seats still available.

The Welfare Sub Committee Presents FREE professional legal advice in a completely confidential manner. Sessions are held with a SOLICITOR at our centre once a month. Next session is on Thursday 4th May between 7pm and 9pm. Appointments are strictly on a first come first serve basis. The BAYN Wellbeing Team have released a survey as part of a new initiative to build awareness and capacity for managing mental health issues within the community and to tackle the stigma associated with these issues. Taking part is voluntary, and all answers are anonymous, therefore participants will not be identifiable. You can find a copy of this survey on the Jamaat Website and Facebook page as well as the BAYN facebook page. For any more information, please contact sisters Sakina Zahra Nazerali or Sakina Rassul in the ladies and brother Mehdi Khaki in the gents. The survey will only take 5 minutes to complete and your participation is greatly appreciated.

On this happy occasion, the Jamaat takes great pleasure in announcing the engagement of Mubina Zahra d/o Sukaina Walji, granddaughter of Marhuma Zehra Banu Jadawji & Ebrahim Walji to Mohamad Kazim s/o Sajad & Fatim Pirmohamed of Stanmore. Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Jamaat will be held on Saturday 29th April 2017 commencing at 7pm here at Mehfil-e-Abbas. Please note that the date is subject to moonsighting and in the case that our 3rd Imam’s Wiladat falls on Saturday, the Meeting will instead be held a day earlier on Friday 28th April commencing at 8pm.

The Children’s Tabligh Committee

On the joyous occasion of the birth of our first holy Imam (as), the Children's Tabligh Committee have the immense pleasure in announcing a ground-breaking event for all children aged 0-18 years to celebrate the birthday of our 12th Imam (as) on Saturday 13th May here at the Abbasi Islamic Centre from 3pm to 6.30pm. The Welfare Sub Committee Presents FREE professional legal advice in a completely confidential manner. Sessions are held with a SOLICITOR at our centre once a month. Next session is on Thursday 4th May between 7pm and 9pm. Appointments are strictly on a first come first serve basis. Mindfulness and Stress Management Event for Youth

The Book Cave and Mental Health team are excited to present the first ever Mindfulness and Stress Management Event for Youth between the ages of 13-22. The event will be fun, practical and insightful, giving participants easy to implement techniques that can fit into busy revision schedules and exam preparation. BAYN Wellbeing Survey

The BAYN Wellbeing Team have released a survey as part of a new initiative to build awareness and capacity for managing mental health issues within the community and to tackle the stigma associated with these issues. Taking part is voluntary, and all answers are anonymous, therefore participants will not be identifiable. You can find a copy of this survey on the Jamaat Website and Facebook page as well as the BAYN facebook page. The survey will only take 5 minutes to complete and your participation is greatly appreciated.

Camp CoEJ 2017

The Council of European Jamaats is delighted to announce that they will soon be launching Camp CoEJ 2017. Camp CoEJ is a unique 10-day camp for both boys and girls aged 11 to 14. It will take place from the 7th to 17th August and builds on the values, mantras and principles refined from camps of the past to deliver what will be a fun, fulfilling and an exciting Camp for everyone involved. HAJJ 2017

The European Hajj Company, in conjunction with The Council of European Jamaats, are proud to officially announce the launch of this year’s Hajj packages for 2017. We are fortunate to have two dates for you to choose from this year as follows:

Syria Appeal

The World Federation launched a Syria Appeal entitled #unspeakable. They have embarked on a mission to provide mental-health services in collaboration with an agency in Lebanon. A primary objective is to facilitate a shift in self-image from passive victim to active survivor. Under this program, torture and war atrocity survivors recover from psychological and physical symptoms, helping them to successfully regain control of their lives. We are appealing to you to support this worthy cause and help these people overcome the difficulties they have endured. Please give what you can today – your donations will go towards training for nurses, medical supplies and the general running of the clinic. Donations can be made at the Treasurer’s Desk or online on the World Federation Website.
